wanting to purchase a Nikon D80 but can not find a store or pawnshop for that matter that even has one. let alone layaway if anyone knows of any places in northern va please write back. already tried best buy, circut city, target, wal-mart, ritz, penn, k-mart… etc etc. thank you in advance for you help

how do i know what shutter speed and aperture to set the camera to as i am taking several different types of pictures such as waterfalls and portraits.is there a guide to use or is it trial and error
any help will be greatly appreciated

I have a Canon Rebel XSI, so maybe it is different, but it should be displayed on the screen. Go to http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc it is a great website that will have a tutorial for your camera, etc. Hope this helps!

Have purchased lensed on ebay that do not fit…they are listed as K mount lenses for Pentax cameras. What am I missing here?

The Pentax K1000 is an older no auto-anything camera as you well know. You are probably getting Kaf lenses. af standing for auto-focus (I think). I dont know if an auto-focus lens would work on a manual camera but I doubt it. I have found lenses for mine at flea markets and the like and dont know what exactly what the wording you are looking for is.

I will say this, my Pentax K1000 is a bit of a tough fit when it comes to some of my lenses. You have to get it all lined up just so and straight on or it wont even appear to go on. You should see a red dot on both the camera body and the lens. Line those two up and get the lens perfectly aligned with the body before you try to get it on there. My Canon cameras apparently have more clearance and arent as finnicky.

If the lenses you have are all manual they should work just fine. You shouldnt see any contacts at the mounting point. And there should be an adjusting ring towards the body end of the lens for aperture as well as the adjustment ring for focus (and zoom if you have a zoom lens). There should be a little bar sticking out of the camera side of the lens that actuates the aperture when the mirror flips up.

There is no such thing as good and cheap – never has been.

Quality is never cheap. These things are expensive to build so they’re expensive to buy.

If you ever see a major name in SLR cameras at a very low price, trust me it’s either a scam or it’s used or it’s beat up and probably doesn’t work.

I am looking for a good but inexpensive digital SLR. I am looking on Ebay and Craigslist, because I cannot afford to buy new and still afford to get the lenses and accessories to go with it. At first I was looking at getting a Nikon or a Canon. I have always been a Nikon person and I know they make the best lenses, but the body of the camera is so expensive. And Canons aren’t far behind as far as price is concerned. So, someone was telling me that the Fuji Finepix S2 Pro takes Nikon lenses, and even though it is only a 6mp, it can be interpolated to a 12mp.

My question is for anyone that knows anything about this particular camera. Anyone that has used one, owns one or has owned one in the past.

How does this camera compare to other digital SLR cameras? I have heard that it outshines the Nikon D100. How does the interpolating thing work? How can a 6mp camera perform like a 12mp? If anyone has any examples of pictures taken with this camera, it would be awesome!

Hi, i use canon but i did a little research on the S2 and i found everything you need, just click on the link bellow and you could even see and download pictures samples of that camera, have fun…

I have been wanting to upgrade from an EOS 10S to a 20D or 30D. I would like to keep the 10S but if I can find a decent trade in offer I don’t have a problem giving up my 10S. Does anyone know if there are decent trade-in offers out there for upgrading from a film to a digital SLR?
